Due to the growing presence of active groups of Missionary Infancy in all our Continent and of the great influence that this Work has in the missionary pastoral of children, their families and educators, the organisers of the COMLA 6 CAM 1, especially the Argentinian Church and the General Head Office of the Missionary Infancy want to invite the children to be present in the event of the Americas which will help us to celebrate and to live the Great Jubilee and to enter, with renewed missionary enthusiasm, the Third Millennium.

Each American country has been invited to send, as part of their delegation, from five to ten children - between ten and fourteen years of age- who will have to be accompanied by a co-ordinator older than eighteen. In the meantime, about fifty children from Argentina, as the host country, will participate as Congressmembers. These children will represent all the children from their countries and will participate in the COMLA 6 CAM 1 as delegates. There will be a specific sector for them, and together with their co-ordinators they will deal with the same topics as the adult delegates. They will participate, with the rest of the congressmembers, in the massive events but these will be adapted for them and will have their own methodology. In the moment of the Congress, everybody will have the opportunity to hear the testimony of the children about their co-operation in the "ad gentes" mission and universal evangelisation. The children and their co-ordinators will all sleep in the same place, and they will not be hosted by families as the rest of the congressmembers.

The basic works and the material have already been elaborated so that the children of the Continent can work the topics that will be treated in the Congress in advance. As soon as this material is printed, it will be sent to the national directions of the PMW to be multiplied and spread. It is very important that all children get to know about this event, its sense and aim, that they deepen in its content, and tune in into its spirit. The children delegates will go, talk, share and make a compromise on behalf of all the children of the American Continent.
